Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum

Giving the Terracotta Warriors a New Cultural Expression.

Inspired by the Terracotta Warriors in the collection of Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, we developed two distinctive cultural IP characters based on the General and Kneeling Archer figures. These characters were then extended across food, stationery, lifestyle and plush products, bringing the ancient Terracotta Warriors into contemporary everyday life in a more approachable and engaging way.

From Artifacts to IP

Starting with museum artifacts, we extracted the distinctive forms, identities and cultural elements of the Terracotta Warriors and other selected artifacts to develop recognizable cultural IPs and extend them into a diverse range of creative products.

Two Warriors.

Two New Personalities.

High-ranking Officer Inspired by the figure of a high-ranking Qin military commander, the character retains the original's distinctive clothing, posture and identity, while adopting a more approachable visual language and a new personality. The Kneeling Archer Inspired by the iconic kneeling posture of the Terracotta Warriors, the character preserves the original figure's pose and costume details while introducing a more playful and expressive interpretation.

Signature Collection

One IP. Multiple Expressions.

Building on the two Terracotta Warrior IP characters, we extended their identities across different products and everyday scenarios, turning cultural IP from a visual character into something people can use, taste, collect and interact with.
